I was going to post this poll earlier, but never got around to it. I plan on posting it at least once more when I get closer to exploding like John Hurt*, just to see if opinions have changed in 5 months.

View Poll: Baby Gender

Again, I do not plan of learning the gender until the birthday, this is all just for fun speculation.

*If you don't get the referance I need to slap you.

I had my first ultrasound today. I saw my baby and heard it's heartbeat. I will be posting pics later when mom gets hom because I can't get the scanner to work.

The doctor said I was 14 weeks along, farther along than I thought. Right now the expected due date is September 23rd, same day as Gemma I know. I go in for another ultrasound in 6 weeks adn see my OB for the first time tomorrow.

The pressure the nurse use to see the baby made me sick, so I'm going to lay down and nap.

Oh, the questionmark here is because if I'm 14 weeks along today would be Day 99.

I just noticed today that I can see parts of my bellybutton that haven't been seen since the doctor tied my umbilical cord.

Went to the doctors for the first time on Tuesday. They drew lots of blood to test. I have my first ultrasound soon and I meet my OB on Friday.

I couldn't sleep so I thought I'd update now rather than later today. It is very subtle, but I've started showing. I mean it's very subtle. I was streaching in front of the mirror in the bathroom and noticed that my stomach wasn't going flat when I raised my arms over my head. This isn't something anyone else would notice yet, but I was a bit excited.

Well it's not just morning sickness that's been kicking my butt. It seems I have a cold. Not too bad, just enough that I don't feel well at all. My throat hurts and my head is aching. My stomach and sides are killing me as well.

Aside from this it looks like I'm starting to gain a little weight. I'm usually about 104, going between that and 106 at the highest. I came in at 110.6 this morning.

Hey everyone. I decided to keep track of my pregnancy in this journal instead on my normal one. Each subject title will be how far along I am. If you are amused by todays number, you aren't the only one.

Right now there really won't be alot for me to post. I haven't started to show yet, but my pants to feel uncomfortable tight. I'm going shopping with my mom for new pants in the morning. Mom still has a lot of her old maternity cloths, but is going to get me some new things more my style and size.

I've got morning sickness almost all the time. No one told me before, but this could last the whole pregnancy. Some days I wake up feeling great, like I could do anything, and as soon as I'm out of bed I'm sick. Some days are just bad. I've had a few good ones and a few roller coaster ones as well.

I'm tired alot too. It's worse when the morning sickness is hitting hard, but the vitamins mom got me and orange juice help a bit.

In case anyone is confused by the name of this journal, or even not, I should explain. I don't like when people refer to their unborn child as 'it'. Even worse is when they know the gender* and start calling the baby by the name they picked out. The idea of giving the baby a nickname sounded good though. I was watching 'RENT' while thinking about this and settled on Pookie.

*I'd rather not know the gender until Pookie is born. It just seems right, plus it adds a little surprise.
